„This album is a kind of musical story that I composed at the beginning of December, when a lot of snow fell. I was looking out of the window at the frozen landscape and reading poems by my friend Valery Kupka. I decided to set these evening moments to music and read the poems in other languages. Slovak and English. Each language has its own melody and playfulness. The last piece is Ryuichi Sakamoto‘s theme from The Revenant, whose memory I wanted to pay tribute to. I love his musical ‚Tarkovsky‘ poetics.“

David Kollar
is one of the most important representatives of the contemporary Slovak music scene. He emerged from the classical forms of jazz to discover free forms of improvisation using digital technologies, in which world-renowned musicians are happy to participate. He leads the improvisation band KoMaRa with Pat Mastelotto (member of King Crimson) and Italian trumpeter Paolo Raineri. He has collaborated with trumpeters Arvo Henriksen and Erik Truffaz, and has performed with Austrian electronic music creator Christian Fennesz, guitarist Eivind Aarset, Tim Bowness, Trey Gunn and Marco Minnemann. His guitar has been featured on Steven Wilson‘s albums. He has written numerous film and stage scores.

„Tento album je hudobnou poviedkou, ktorú som zložil začiatkom decembra, keď u nás napadlo veľa snehu. Spoza okna som pozeral na zamrznutú krajinu a čítal som si básne môjho priateľa Valerija Kupku. Rohodol som sa tieto večerné chvíle zhudobniť a básne čítať v dvoch jazykoch. Slovenskom a anglickom spolu s mojou dcérou Barborou. Každý jazyk má svoju vlastnú melodiku a dynamiku. Na albume je aj skladba Ryuichiho Sakamota z filmu The Revenant. Sakamoto miloval poetiku Andreja Tarkovského rovnako ako ja. Navyše sa film The Revenant odohráva v zime... Prajem vám príjemné počúvanie.“

David Kollar
je jeden z nejvýznamnějších představitelů současné slovenské hudební scény. Vzešel z klasických podob jazzu, aby objevil volné formy improvizace za použití digitálních technologií, jichž se rádi účastní světově uznávaní hudebníci. Vede improvizační kapelu KoMaRa s Patem Mastelottem (členem skupiny King Crimson) a italským trumpetistou Paolem Rainerim. Dlouhodobě spolupracuje s trumpetisty Arvem Henriksenem a Erikem Truffazem, koncertoval s rakouským tvůrcem elektronické hudby Christianem Fenneszem, kytaristou Eivindem Aarsetem, Timem Bownessem, Trey Gunnem či Marco Minnemannem. Jeho kytara zazněla například na albech Stevena Wilsona. Je autorem řady filmové a scénické hudby.
