Životní cesty Jiřího Durmana a Miroslava Posejpala se spojily v roce 1972 v břevnovské Šlikově ulici. Tam bydlel v bytě po babičce Jiří „Přemysl“ Števich, zakládající člen skupiny Plastic People of the Universe, neortodoxní kytarista a svérázný hloubavec. Kromě toho, že se zde scházela poměrně pestrá společnost a pořádaly se zde poslechové večery nejrůznějších hudebních novinek, se tu také zkoušelo a jamovalo.
Durman s Posejpalem zde kromě jamů se Števichem stále častěji vyhledávali chvilky, kdy mohli hrát spolu jen sami dva. Tak se zde pomalu a nenápadně začalo rodit celoživotní přátelství a spolupráce obou protagonistů. Na rozdíl od kontrabasu, který se později stal jedním ze stěžejních nástrojů dua v prvním období v sedmdesátých a osmdesátých letech, ale tehdy ještě Posejpal používal baskytaru. Později dal přednost široké paletě strunných, převážně akustických nástrojů a s výjimkou kratičké epizody na konci osmdesátých let (zachycené na albu Urban Prayers, Blue Lizard, 2022) se teprve až na samém konci spolupráce k tomuto nástroji na dvou koncertech v roce 2012 vrátil.
Last Song je záznam jednoho z nich. Duo v této staronové nástrojové kombinaci vystoupilo u příležitosti křtu alba Constellation No. 1, vydaného jako číslovaný vinyl vydavatelstvím unusual records.
A tak se zde čtyřicet let po prvním setkání pomyslně uzavírá kruh započatý v břevnovské hudební oáze normality v pomalu houstnoucí „normalizační“ atmosféře raných sedmdesátých let.

The life paths of Jiří Durman and Miroslav Posejpal joined in 1972 in Šlikova Street in Brevnov. Jiří „Přemysl“ Števich, a founding member of the Plastic People of the Universe, an unorthodox guitarist and a peculiar thinker, lived there in his grandmother‘s flat.
Durman and Posejpal, in addition to jamming with Števich, increasingly sought out moments when they could play together just the two of them. Thus, slowly and subtly, a lifelong friendship and cooperation between the two protagonists began to emerge. Unlike the double bass, which later became one of the duo‘s main instruments in the first period in the seventies and eighties, Posejpal was still using the bass guitar at that time. Later, he preferred a wide variety of stringed, mostly acoustic instruments, and with the exception of a brief episode in the late 1980s (captured on the album Urban Prayers, Blue Lizard, 2022), it was only at the very end of the collaboration that he returned to the instrument for two concerts in 2012.
Last Song is a recording of one of them. The duo performed in this old instrument combination on the occasion of the launch of Constellation No. 1, released as numbered vinyl by unusual records. And so, forty years after the first meeting, the circle begun in the Brevnov musical oasis of normality in the slowly thickening „normalization“ atmosphere of the early seventies is imaginatively closed here.
