The musical project Kosmonaut 22 is the work of Czech sculptor Pavel Holeček. The project was created in 2018, originally as a sculptural installation. However, over time, the sculptures have been transformed into musical instruments thanks to the modern technologies that have been built into their bodies. The logical progression was a conceptual fusion of downtempo electronics and ambient with the sculptures, DMX lighting and live performance that is played directly on the sculptures.

EP Kosmonaut 22 – Yes music, No music is the first official release under the Blue Lizard label. This EP is a dialogue between non-musical layers, sampled field recording noises, post-processed structures and musical layers, ambient surfaces and harmonies. These two approaches of composing music come together in ambient compositions to create one whole. The whole is quiet, calm, slow, colourful and colourful...

This EP is on the border of slow motion music, ambient, experiment. It blurs the boundaries between music and silence, between art and chance. Its cinematic soundscapes are full of deep analog frequencies, ethereal melodies, drones, but also hypnotic rhythms that create a palpable atmosphere. Yes music, No music is a great example of how analogue sound can be combined with noise and movement into a powerful creative expression.

Hudební projekt Kosmonaut 22 je autorským dílem českého sochaře Pavla Holečka. Projekt vznikl v roce 2018, původně jako sochařská instalace. Avšak v průběhu času se sochy proměnily na hudební nástroje díky moderním technologiím, které byly do jejich těl zabudovány. Logickým pokračováním bylo koncepční spojení downtempo elektroniky a ambientu se sochami, DMX osvětlením a živou performancí, která je přímo na sochách hraná.

EP Kosmonaut 22 – Yes music, No music je prvním oficiálním vydáním pod značkou Blue Lizard. Toto EP je dialogem mezi nemuzikálními vrstvami, samplovanými field recordings šumy, postprocesovanými strukturami a muzikálními vrstvami, ambientními plochami a harmoniemi. Tyto dva přístupy skládání hudby se v ambientních kompozicích setkávají a vytvářejí jeden celek. Celek tichý, klidný, pomalý, pestrý a barevný...

Toto EP se nachází na pomezí slow motion music, ambient, experiment. Stírá hranice mezi hudbou a tichem, mezi uměním a náhodou. Jeho kinematografické zvukové krajiny jsou plné hlubokých analogových frekvencí, éterických melodií, dronů, ale i hypnotických rytmů, které vytvářejí hmatatelnou atmosféru. Yes music, No music je skvělý příklad toho, jak lze propojit analogový zvuk se šumy a ruchy do silného tvůrčího vyjádření.
