Krishnamurti (3 August 1929):
„ I maintain that truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect. That is my point of view, and I adhere to that absolutely and unconditionally. Truth, being limitless, unconditioned, unapproachable by any path whatsoever, cannot be organized; nor should any organization be formed to lead or coerce people along a particular path. ... This is no magnificent deed, because I do not want followers, and I mean this. The moment you follow someone you cease to follow Truth. I am not concerned whether you pay attention to what I say or not. I want to do a certain thing in the world and I am going to do it with unwavering concentration. I am concerning myself with only one essential thing: to set man free. I desire to free him from all cages, from all fears, and not to found religions, new sects, nor to establish new theories and new philosophies.“

Slavek Kwi is a sound artist, composer, art therapist and researcher. He was born in Czechoslovakia, from where he emigrated in 1986. He has lived in the Netherlands, Belgium and currently resides in Ireland. In his work, he is mainly concerned with the process of perception as a fundamental circumstance influencing our perception of the world. Over the last thirty years he has shown an undying enthusiasm for recording a variety of soundscapes, releasing his own recordings and exploring the possibilities of sound painting tools. He composes complex and organic layered soundscapes mainly from the material of his own field recordings transformed into „subjective radio broadcasts“ or „cinema for the ear.“ Occasionally, he constructs a series of spatial optosonic compositions, sometimes using surround sound systems.

„Tvrdím, že pravda je země bez cest a nelze se k ní přiblížit žádnou cestou, žádným náboženstvím, žádnou sektou. To je můj názor a toho se držím naprosto a bezvýhradně. Pravda, která je bezmezná, nepodmíněná, nedosažitelná žádnou cestou, nemůže být organizována; ani by neměla vznikat žádná organizace, která by vedla nebo nutila lidi jít určitou cestou. ... To není žádný velkolepý čin, protože nechci následovníky, a to myslím vážně. V okamžiku, kdy někoho následujete, přestáváte následovat Pravdu. Nezajímá mě, zda věnujete pozornost tomu, co říkám, nebo ne. Chci ve světě vykonat určitou věc a hodlám ji vykonat s neochvějným soustředěním. Zabývám se pouze jednou podstatnou věcí: osvobodit člověka. Chci ho osvobodit ze všech klecí, ze všech strachů, a ne zakládat náboženství, nové sekty, ani vytvářet nové teorie a nové filozofie.“

Slavek Kwi je zvukový umělec, skladatel, arteterapeut a vý­zkumník. Narodil se v Československu, odkud emigroval v roce 1986. Žil v Nizozemsku, Belgii a v současnosti pobývá v Irsku. Ve své tvorbě se zabývá hlavně procesem vnímání jako zásadní okolností, ovlivňující naše představy o světě. V posledních třiceti letech projevuje neutuchající nadšení pro nahrávání nejrůznějších zvukových krajin, vydávání vlastních nahrávek a zkoumání možností nástrojů zvukomalby. Komplexní a orga­nické vrstevnaté zvukové situace komponuje hlavně z mate­­riálu vlastních terénních nahrávek transformovaných do formy „subjektivních rozhlasových vysílání“ nebo „kina pro ucho.“ Příležitostně konstruuje série prostorových optosonických kompozic, někdy s použitím systémů prostorového zvuku.
