Meditation Blue je souborem živých nahrávek a komponovaných skladeb. Prvotní inspirací byla voda, proto název Blue. Samply deště a kapek vody nahrávku v ozvěnách protínají. Použití pentatonických stupnic odkazuje k asijským hudebním vlivům a směřuje nahrávku blíže k meditačnímu ambientu a albu pro klidnější poslech nebo relaxaci, a to i díky kombinaci tradičních nástrojů s elektronickými a samplovanými prvky.

Inspiraci si album bere i v Pýthagorově léčení zvukem a některé segmenty jsou jen nejčistší oktávové harmonie s měnící se barvou zvuku a hloubkou ozvěny. Všechny nahrávky vznikly spontánně, jejich neurčitost podtrhuje, že se vzájemně přelévají jedna do druhé. Album tak nechává posluchačovi otevřené dveře pro vlastní představy.

Štěpán Perk je členem projektu Ginkgo Lanugo, který vznikl v roce 2019. Ambientní singly projektu vyšly již ve francouzském vydavatelství Camembert rec. a kanadském Paracelsian rec. V pražském clubu Cross mají Ginkgo Lanugo svou rezidentní noc Response.

Meditation Blue is a collection of live recordings and composed pieces. The initial inspiration was water, hence the name Blue. Samples of rain and drops of water echo through the recording. The use of pentatonic scales alludes to Asian musical influences and steers the recording closer to a meditative ambient album for quieter listening or relaxation, also by combining traditional instruments with electronic and sampled elements.

The album also takes inspiration from Pythagoras' sound healing, and some segments are just the purest octave harmonies with changing sound color and echo depth. All of the recordings were made spontaneously, their indeterminacy underlining the fact that they flow into one another. The album thus leaves the listener open to his own ideas.

Štěpán Perk is a member of the Ginkgo Lanugo project, which was founded in 2019. The project's ambient singles have already been released on the French label Camembert rec. and the Canadian Paracelsian rec. Ginkgo Lanugo have their resident Response night at Prague's Club Cross.
